Homemade Vegan “Beef” Broth in 15 Minutes!

This vegan “beef” broth is delicious and perfect for using in recipes like gravy, soups, burgers, sauces, and more! It is also really quick and easy to make! I made four quarts this time as I have several recipes planned that call for it, but you can make any amount that you like. Here are the ingredients you will need to make your own homemade vegan “beef” broth:

Add the miso paste, vegan Worcestershire sauce, and balsamic vinegar to a saucepan:

Cook over medium heat while mashing up the miso into the liquid until all the miso is incorporated:

Mix in the reduced sodium Tamari soy sauce. (You can sub coconut aminos if you are soy free).

Add the Magical Seasoning Blend and Magical Broth Powder to the liquid mixture, then stir until combined:

Cook the mixture for a few minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated:

Add about two cups of the water:

Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for a few minutes:

Turn off the heat, them mix in the remaining water:

That’s it! Your “beef” broth is now ready to use in any recipe. Store in jars with tight-fitting lids in the fridge for up to five days, or in the freezer for up to six months. There will be some settling of the solids in the broth, so shake well before using.

Notes

  • Nutrition facts are given for the recipe using our regular Magical Seasoning Blend and Magical Broth Powder. The Sodium is reduced to 605 mg per cup of "beef" broth if you use our Low Sodium Magical Seasoning Blend and Reduced Sodium Magical Broth Powder. (Most of the remaining sodium is coming from the miso and tamari.)
