The Plant Based Egg is different than other egg replacement products! Instead of premixing it with liquid, you add the dry Plant Based Egg powder to your flour and increase the liquid in your recipe.
For cookies, muffins, and quick breads: In standard recipes that call for eggs, follow the chart on the back of the bag to see how much of The Plant Based Egg to add to your flour, and how much additional liquid to add to your wet ingredients. Just remember, dry to dry and wet to wet! If your recipe doesn’t call for any liquid (like in a cookie), add the amount of liquid stated on the chart when you would have added an egg.
For cakes and brownies: You will need to do more than just replace the eggs in a standard recipe that calls for dairy and eggs. Veganizing these types of recipes usually requires adjustments to the flour, fat, and liquid amounts as well, so we recommend using one of our recipes. At least take a look at one of ours to get an idea of what adjustments might be needed! We also highly recommend using a digital kitchen scale to weigh your ingredients. This eliminates errors in measuring and ensures consistently excellent results.
