The Plant Based Egg
The Plant Based Egg is a revolutionary new vegan egg replacement for baking that does all of the essential things that eggs do! Other egg replacements bind ingredients pretty well, but eggs do a lot more than that. They bind, leaven, provide structure, and emulsify. Our unique blend of ingredients does all of those things and makes egg free baking simple and delicious! One 4 oz bag is the equivalent of 2 dozen eggs, and the 2 lb bulk bag is equal to 189 eggs.
If you are gluten free, please note that The Plant Based Egg does not work well with 1:1 flour blends that contain xanthan gum, guar gum, or psyllium. However, you can use The Plant Based Egg to substitute for gums or psyllium in your own DIY gluten free flour blend. This gives your GF baked goods a superior texture and you’ll never want to use xanthan or guar gum in baking again! If you want to use a ready made flour blend, check out our All-Purpose Gluten Free Flour that already has The Plant Based Egg built in for greater convenience. You do not need to add any eggs or egg replacement when using Freely Vegan flour because we have already added enough of The Plant Based Egg to our flour to sub for both the gums and the eggs.
Like all of our products, The Plant Based Egg is gluten free, top 8 allergen free, sesame free, and non-GMO! It is produced in a dedicated facility that is free from all of those, so there is no risk of cross-contamination.

Since going vegan 8 years ago I have been unable to make a cake rise and have the consistency that it should. That was until I tried The Plant-based Egg by Freely Vegan. My cakes rise! Yay! I now use this in all of my recipes that call for eggs! What a miracle product!
